The Informed Future of Michigan is a student-led organization dedicated to creating newspapers for students of all ages. Our newspapers are designed locally and made for local use- we mention news in Metro Detroit, Rochester Hills, Auburn Hills, and neighboring cities. Our news are focused on STEM, politics, and the arts- helping students understand the impacts of these topics on our everyday life. All of our articles are made with age-appropriate language and a non-biased perspective. Through local Metro Detroit news, we hope to spread career-related awareness as well, especially in the STEM/political field. IFM is committed to raising the next generation of local leaders.
IFM is dedicated to serving a diverse range of communities, including (but not limited to): Rochester Hills, Rochester, Auburn Hills, Pontiac, and Detroit.
We want to help the next generation of writers inform, inspire, and create change in their communities with the power of articles. Led by the IFM Newspaper Editors, our workshops feature writing masterclasses, ranging from a wide range of writing styles, from news reporting and feature writing. We focus on making writing accessible, relevant, and impactful for students of all ages.
